Sweetie Shimla ADOPTED 25/9

At 9 years old Shimla is recovering not only from a paralysis tick, but her owners could no longer keep her.
She is depressed, although still absolutely appreciates some loving words and a scritch under the chin.
We are anxious to find her a caring home as a shelter is a hard place to be for an older girl used to a home.
She is Persian x Himalayan and gentle, sweet and intelligent.
Donation of saleable itemsIf you have any clean furniture, bric-a-brac, books, cd's etc that you would like to donate,Please ring Jean # 66191787 or 0411032905Our adoption fees do not cover Vet bills and supplies. We are run and staffed entirely by volunteers , so to stay operational we must also have market stalls/garage sales/street stalls etc.If you would like to offer goods or help on any of the fundraisers for an hour or two, we would be very grateful. It is fun, too.Volunteers are still needed to assist with the care of PetsForLife's many kittens.

ADopted

Poor Sasha has had a very hard start to life.

Rescued almost starving from the streets with her mum and siblings at around 4 months old, she was extremely wary of humans .

She was so shy she ended up in the shelter for a long time, overlooked for the more outgoing cats... til a kindly man took pity and adopted her.

He took very good care of her for 6months but his original cat made it very clear she wasn't welcome. Repeatedly.

Sasha is still shy but with his love a lot more social. She is a very playful cat, which is the key to her heart.

We would love to find her a home very soon, she is such a gentle and sweet natured little girl, someone will be so very lucky to have her.

She always got along extremely well with other cats before her adoption, so it seems the other cat was happy being the only one, not her.

If you want to see Sashas older pics with her and family, please scroll down to older posts and flick through the pages.

ADOPTED 9/09

Lucky Mohan was adopted in under a week .
A two year old who came in with his sister. See above.
A gentle sweet natured boy who loves a rub on the tummy

ADOPTED

Sweet little girl Hope had been hit by a car 3 times before she came to us. She was a little worse for wear, bony and needed building up.
It didn't affect her personality, a real smoochy happy girl, and thankfully she didn't have a long stay with us, got a great home in a couple of weeks.

ADOPTED

Love me, love me, love me, say you do....

Misty is a sweet little girl and her babies are already on hold.
She is an affectionate and friendly girl who loves humans.
We think she is around 18 months or 2 years old

beautiful Rico ADOPTED

Rico is a Siamese Himalayan cross and is 2 years old. Rico is a sweet natured, intelligent adorable boy and he is in urgent need of a loving home. Rico has feline lower urinary tract disease, but placed in the right home he could live a fulfilling life and be your best friend. He needs to be on a special diet and due to his tail been removed after an accident has some lower nerve damage and at times can suffer occaisional mild incontinence... when asleep in bed .
Otherwise he is a very clean boy who is excellent about using his tray.
Rico loves to be outside all day and at night could sleep in a contained area with his litter tray. Rico is free to his new home and has been de-sexed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, wormed and flea treated
He gets along well with all the other cats, and is absolutely adored by the volunteer staff, if a home cannot be found soon we are very afraid for his future
