Here's me, Ben in the middle, of two of the girls...Billie above and Daphne below.
I am a bit of a chick magnet! The kittens love playing with me as well!
I am not real rapt about being around other males if they are territorial,coz i can be a bit that way... but I get along ok with Tiger and am pretty fond of BB.

My mum died suddenly at 70 and now at age 6 I find myself in the shelter.
I get along very well with all of the other cats at the shelter, and am a gentle boy.
I am not interested in fighting or aggressive types and would rather get away than be picked on.
Some of the nice girl cats here have even come and smooched (see pic below)and cuddled up to me...guess they like a male who doesn't have to throw his weight around to be noticed.
That made me feel real good.

She made me feel part of the family after only a day or two!
I am used to being in a two cat household, so as long as noone picks on me I am certainly not going to start anything!
Billie has since been adopted, and now i find myself with many new friends...see in particular pixie....she is a dear little girl ;-)

I had a rough time in the beginning. I was dumped in a cardboard box with my family on the front door of the vets.We were all in a bad way, malnourished and sick...we had kittens to take care of, too.My mother died and her kitten, Glennie was pretty sick for a while.I feel ok now, have a lot of asian in me, and am slinky and gracefulI like to play and especially like a scritch under the chin.I prefer to keep to myself, probably prefer to be the only cat, unless it was with pixie, a kitten at the shelter that i simply adore.I could cuddle and kiss and play with her all day.The vet has given me a clean bill of health now.

Hi, My name is Bella, and I am around 6-8 years old.
I have been in the shelter for a long time.
I might look a little funny at the moment, that's because I was (successfully) treated for some skin cancers on my nose and ears.
See pic below to see how much my nose has improved in the past month or so.
I love Human beings, and especially love a good hard rub on my back...really, you can go as hard as you like....LOVE IT!!! I get very happy, but never get so excited I forget myself....my last owner treated me kindly so I am not frightened !
Generally I love to sit around and shoot the breeze, watch what's going on but if you want to play with a bit of grass or something, I"ll be in it!

I don't mind other cats, as long as they don't pick on me, that makes me feel horrible. I have a couple of cats at the shelter who like to come into my place and hang out....that's nice...but I would also be happy to be the only cat .

ADOPTED 30/3/08 Hullo! My name is Ben and I have been at the shelter for a long time.
I am about 2 and a half years old.
I was bitten by a snake and my owners never returned to the vets to pick me up.I waited 3 months!
By the time I got to the shelter I was absolutely stir crazy and sad......but after a while I became very popular with many of the cats (especially the ladies) and kittens for my playful nature and good looks ;-)
I am athletic and would like to keep your place clear of mice...it is the least I can do!
I am very smoochy and love kids, although at times can play a little rough maybe better not if you have really young children in your family.
So if you know someone I would be very grateful!

I am a carefree happy little adolescent who loves to play and I don't mind who with! Any of the cats in the shelter who want to...i am up for it.
If they don't want to, no problem!
I love humans too, and leeerv a cuddle and am a real purr machine.

I am a pure bred Himalayan black/charcoal girl around 4-5 months old.
My owners realtionship broke up and couldn't take me with them.
I am gentle and sweetnatured, and just love to gaze at you and listen to you talk to me....I could listen for ever....pretty much because i feel I am human also.
I have been told when I am sitting on a human lap I am a purr machine....I could sit there for HOURS!

Hi, my name is Daphne and I came in with a couple of kittens of mine before xmas with my sister Billie and her kittens...all adopted now. We were a big mellow family. I think I am about 18months old?
I love being a mum, and after my kittens were adopted it was hard to say no to the many new kittens who were motherless. Now all the adolescent cats in the shelter look up to me, and I love to hang around with them.
I was originally rescued from the streets by a kind lady in casino who had many many cats and kittens, so I got used to company, so it you have another cat, male or female,it is pretty likely that I will like them....so far I haven't met a cat I didn't like.
Male cats think I am a bit of a looker too.*giggle* I have a bit of a crush on BB....love to cuddle him and kiss him all over the face and lovebite his neck. Ben has always had eyes for me as well....he is good to play with...
If you just wanted me on my own, that would be ok too, I love humans as well, love a good rub along my spine,pretty well any attention as I just appreciate any love you have to give.
Get along well with one of the volunteers dogs, but i guess I would really have to meet them if you had one.
I am certainly not the type to make trouble...as you see above, I believe in "love"

Approx 10 weeks old. Sleek, playful, bright and friendly boy...He gets along very well with all the cats in the shelter for his happy go lucky personality.

RIP KANDICAT

She was gravely ill and passed away a week after she came in to us.The volunteers fell in love with her, gave her lots of cuddles and special foods..... a sweet little girl who will suffer no more.

Kandykat found in Fern Beach approx 5 weeks ago injured and unwell.
Does
anyone know who this lovely cat belongs to? She is approximately 12
years
old and is a lap cat therefore someone must have really, really loved
her
